Flash Dog 'Toon

After watching a "drawing in Flash" tutorial, I became inspired to just fool around. What was originally going to be a very brief tinkering turned into this, and all with the start of a circle.

I know some people may look at this and say "eh, so what? It's a 2 minute drawing with paint bucket fills and the pen tool." To that I say two things:

a.) okay, have a nice day

and

b.) it's not done with the pen tool and paint bucket, and it took much longer than 2 minutes

I think a lot of traditional artists (myself included) forget the value of simplicity, and just how hard it can be to think and design simple. This guy was not 'drawn'. He was manipulated. He is made up entirely of circles and squares (excepting his teeth separating lines), stretched and squashed and curved and bent to form what he is there. I muchly enjoyed the process, and I am proud of myself for making a character design from scratch.
